Peter Brathwaite

Peter Brathwaite was born in Manchester. Training: Royal College of Music International Opera School; Operastudio Vlaanderen, Ghent.

Awards: Peter Moores Foundation Award; Independent Opera Fellowship; International Opera Awards Foundation Bursary; Winston Churchill Fellowship; alumnus of the Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme.

Keel Watson 

Keel Watson studied Voice and Trombone at Trinity College of Music inLondon.Keel has performed with many British and several European companies in many roles, ranging from Monteverdi (Charon inOrfeo) through to World Premiere works (Jonathan Dove’s ‘Life isa Dream’ and Ravi Shankar’s ‘Sukanya’). Other roles include:Fasolt (Das Rheingold – Wagner), Iago (Otello – Verdi), Dulcamara (L’Elisir d’Amore – Donizetti), Zuniga (Carmen –Bizet), Mephistopheles (Faust – Gounod), Leporello/Commendatore (Don Giovanni – Mozart), Raimondo (Lucia diLammermoor – Donizetti), Falstaff (Falstaff – Verdi), Oroveso(Norma – Bellini), Scarpia (Tosca – Puccini), Macbeth (Macbeth –Verdi) and Der Holländer (Der Fliegende Holländer – Wagner).

Ronald Samm

Ronald Samm was born in Port of Spain, the younger son of two Headteachers. Early musical training began at St Mary’s College where he was a regular prizewinner in the island-wide biennial Music Festival. He studied voice and piano with Noelle Barker and Ian Kennedy at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and won a scholarship from the Peter Moores/Lord Pitt Foundation to pursue post-graduate study with Nicholas Powell at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Ronald Samm’s oratorio repertoire includes Handel’s Messiah; Bach’s Magnificat and St. John Passion; Mendelssohn’s Elijah; Beethoven’s Mass in C; Mozart Requiem; Verdi Requiem, and Stainer’s Crucifixion. He appeared as The Preacher in Bernstein’s Mass at the 2012 BBC Proms with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.

Angela Caeser

Angela M Caesar, soprano, was born in Manchester. She studied voice at Trinity College of Music, London and at the Peabody Institute of The John’s Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA. She made her debut at Carnegie Hall, New York as the first prize winner of the Centre for Contemporary Opera’s International Opera Competition. Angela has worked with the Royal Opera House, ROH2, the English National Opera as well as many regional opera companies in the UK. Her work with Pegasus Opera includes, Alice Ford in Falstaff, at Conway Hall and their UK tour production of L'Elisir d'Amore, in the role of Gianetta.

She has also performed in various contemporary opera projects, workshops and recordings with composers such as Jonathan Dove, Errollyn Wallen, Dominique Le Gendre, at venues such as the Southbank, The Linbury Studio and the Almeida Theatre and Oscar winners, Dario Marianelli on The Soloist and Ludwig Göranson on Marvel’s Black Panther.

Denise Hector

Denise Hector, born in London, studied at the Royal Academy of Music followed by the National Opera Studio.  During her time at the Academy, she participated in several Masterclasses with Janet Baker, Robert Tear, Joan Hammond and Shirley Verrett. She also took part and won several prizes for Lieder and Song including being a finalist in the Kathleen Ferrier Competition in 1989. She joined the Glyndebourne chorus in 1986 taking part in Porgy & Bess, La Traviata and numerous other operas.  She made her debut at Glyndebourne in Die Zauberflote as Second Lady and has since then performed a number of roles at various opera houses around the UK.

Birgitta Kenyon

Birgitta Kenyon, aka "A Girl Called Fred”, spends her time in Theatre, in cabaret and on the classical concert platform... She has MD-ed professional panto, appeared as an actress in pro Musical Theatre (Cathy - "The Last 5 Years", The Witch - "Into the Woods"), and performed as a conductor, solo/ ensemble singer (Mrs Noye - "Noye's Fludde") and concert pianist (latterly in Rachmaninov’s Second Piano Concerto, and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue). In demand as an MD (Hippodrome, Snape Maltings, South Bank, Covent Garden) and choral workshop leader, she writes and arranges music in a variety of genres. Over the years there have been many projects with Sir Richard Stilgoe, and in addition to many nationwide jobs with youngsters and professional adults Birgitta co-piloted a new Summer School for Young Carers with Ruthie Henshall. In 2012 she was presented to HRH at Buck House in recognition for her work in performing arts for youth theatre. She directs the award-winning groups of The Voice Squad who have appeared at high-profile venues all over the UK.
